A sharp slowdown in the US economy in 2007,brought about by a housing correction,is unlikely to drag the rest of the world economy with it,an economic analysis by Merrill Lynch has said.Higher demand outside the US plus a rise in intraregional trade will shield the rest of the world from a hand-in-hand descent.
