Report: US Adhesives & Sealants market to reach $11.9bn

US demand for adhesives and sealants is predicted to rise just over 2% a year over the next five years to 9.8 billion pounds at a value of $11.9 billion. Research by Freedonia says gains will be driven by an improved outlook for major adhesives and sealants markets, such as paper packaging, motor vehicles and building construction. Demand is also likely to benefit from trends towards greater use of adhesive bonding compared to alternative joining technologies, such as mechanical fasteners, in product assemble applications.
