Changes in ocular higher order aberrations with accommodation in wavefront-guided LASIK myopic candidates.

Studies have measured higher order aberrations in cyclopleged and physiologic accommodative states with variable results that are difficult to compare, as small sample sizes and different measurement techniques, pupil diameters, and accommodative ranges were used.The current study was performed in a clinical setting using clinical tools to evaluate higher order aberration changes as a function of accommodation, with a fixed optical zone, eliminating accommodative miosis as a confounding factor.
