BASF is collaborating with Medi-Solve Coatings in the field of antimicrobial coatings for catheters .and other minimally invasive medical devices known to have high infection rates in clinical applications. The collaboration will combine Medi-Solve's proprietary AquaCoat coating technology with the proprietary HyGentic silver-based antimicrobial additive platform of BASF's Future Business, which explores opportunities outside BASF's core business areas.
