Polaroid's contract coating business at New Bedford,Massachusetts has been bought in a private equity deal that will ensure continued employment for the company's 250 people.The new company,MultiLayer coating Technologies,will use Polaroid's coating technology,which allows multiple layers of high-precision coating to be applied to both sides of a roll-to-roll web in clean room environments.
