In the July/August 2010 issue (Volume 26, No. 4), researchers described the experiences of novice teaching academic educators in baccalaureate nursing programs. Findings were categorized into themes, and several main ideas surfaced. Their findings reveal that there are many key elements needed to adequately prepare novice educators. The research of Anibas, Brenner, and Zorn shed light on the problems that novice educators experience, and I believe that some academic institutions are not aware of these concerns that many bring to their new roles.
