Harry Sumnall provides a thoughtful commentary on our recent article, 'The new psychoactive substances regime in New Zealand: A different approach to regulation'. He rightly points out that a number of important questions remain unanswered concerning how the new regulated legal market for new psychoactive substances (NPS) proposed in New Zealand will actually operate, and what the consequences for public health will be. This remains the situation despite the fact that the Psychoactive Substances Act has recently passed into law.
