INSTALLATION OF FIRST CURTAIN COATER IN BOARD MACHINE

On June 18, 2010, Voith Paper successfully put Mayr-Melnhof's board machine BM 3 in Frohnleiten, Austria, back into operation after the rebuild. At 8.15 am sharp, Production was changed from air knife operation to curtain coating and since then, the DF Coat-S is in use. Thus, Mayr-Melnhof operates the world's first board machine using curtain coating for online graphic coat application in continuous operation.
