摘要

Biological-pomological properties of six introduced sweet cherry cultivars (Celeste Germersdorfer 'New Star'. Stark Hardy Giant Starkrimson and Sunburst) grafted on Colt rootstock were studied in the West Serbia region during a two-year period (2011-2012). Investigation has included ripening time pomological properties and biochemical composition of fruits 'Celeste' had the earliest, whereas Germersdorfer had the latest ripening time, belonging to the third and the fifth week group of sweet cherry ripening periodThe highest fruit weight was found in Sunburst (10.93 g). The soluble solid content ranged from 13.70% ('New Star' ) to 15.80% (Germersdorfer).The highest total sugar content was also found in Germersdorfer (11.56%). and the lowest in New Star (10 13%) As for total acids, Germersdorfer exhibited the highest content (0 83%), and 'Stark Hardy Giant' the lowest (0.56%)With regard to the total acids content, the juice of Germersdorfer andStark Hardy Giant had the lowest and the highest pH value, i.e. 3.76 and 3.96 respectively .The research performed and results obtained suggest that studied sweet cherry cultivars had shown good results in Serbian agroecological conditions, and could have a significant place in the assortment structure of sweet cherry in the region of Serbia and Balkan
