摘要

The investigations were carried out of the effect of antioxidants mercaptoethanol and melatonin on boar s sperm viability, preserved within 24.48 and 72 hours at temperature 15deg C.It was established that thej antioxidant s supplement to the sperm s preservation media has beneficial effect on sperm motility and viability at 48 and 72 hours from the preservation compared to the control samples. During the in vitro preservation at low temperatures in media with mercaptoethanol and melatonin, a high percent of spermatozoa with intact structure was established. By using melatonin at the 72 hours from the sperm preservation the percent of pathologic spermatozoa is statistically lower-22.75 +- 0.45% compared to the control sample - 26.12 +- 0.58% (p<0,001).
