In IMSA Troyan a trial was carried out with two groups, each of 10 male lambs - F_1 crossbreds of Mouton Charolais breed. The lambs were fed with forages of equal quantity and quality. The preparation Bio-Mos (containing a Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain) was included in the concentrated feed for lambs of the experimental group in a quantity providing daily intake of 5 g per head, well homogenized with the concentrated feed. Forage intake was controlled every day and live weight of lambs every 15 days. On the basis of the obtained results the following conclusions were drawn: The inclusion of the nutrient supplement Bio-Mos in a quantity of 5 g per head per day in the ration for fattening lambs led to an increase of average daily gain by 13.2%, as compared to the control animals having received the same ration without supplement. Consumption of feed units and CP per 1 kg weight gain for the treated lambs was 18.6% and 21.4% lower respectively than that recorded for the control animals.
