摘要

Polymers derived from the reaction of dibutyltin dichloride and ampicillin or norfloxacin inhibit the growth of reovirus ST3(representative of viruses responsible for respiratory and enteric infections),vaccinia(smallpox),herpes simplex(herpes),and varicella zoster(chickenpox and shingles)viruses.The monomers ampicillin and norfloxacin have little ability to inhibit these viruses but dibutyltin dichloride also exhibits good,but lesser,ability to inhibit viral growth.The polymers also show good inhibition of a number of cancer cell lines.
