摘要

Two polysulfonates PSBD (0.196 mm thick) and PSMD (0.19 mm thick) were selected for studies, they showed static hardness ranging from 8.8-15.8 and 7.7-17.3 kg/mm~2, respectively at four different loads (20-80 g). A 90 #mu#m thick PSBD film and 60 #mu#m thick PSMD film showed respectively 7.7 and 10.1 N/mm~2 tensile strength and approx2 and approx1% elongation at break. The same films exhibited electric strength and volume resistivity of the order of 27.1-27.5kV/mm and 5.5 X 10~(15) ohm-cm, respecively. DSC analysis showed that T_g values of PSBD and PSMD are 130 deg and 125 deg C , respectively. The two polymers studied are thermally stable up to about 325 deg C. The maximum weight loss on heating under N_2 took place at about 378 deg C and 385 deg C,respectiveluy for PSBD and PSMD. Weighy loss on heating tends to level off at about 450 deg C leving abuot 40% residue for heating up to 750 deg C. PSBD and PSMD showed comparable static hardness, but PSBD showed ralatively low tensile strength
