Angular distribution data for the inelastic scattering of pions on top and on either side of the Delta resonance from Ca-40,Ca-42,Ca-44,Ca-48 and Fe-54 are studied within the framework of the zero-range distorted wave born approximately (DWBA) method using parameters of the local optical model, and the corresponding deformation parameters are also extracted.
