The outlook for 2010 coal demand continues to appear bleak with coal and natural gas stockpiles burgeoning and winter's wrath now appearing unable to work off the two markets' overhang. "Look at the storage. You're going to have to have a monster winter to soak up that supply," a natural gas market participant said. "You've basically got two months to soak up that surplus. That's not a very long time."
