FloSeal for Treatment of Retropubic Bleeding During Placement of Tension-Free Vaginal Tape

Background: Bleeding complications during tension-free vaginal tape placement, although rare, are unpredictable and call for urgent treatment to prevent sequelae such as hematoma or need for blood transfusion.Case: We describe 2 cases of retropubic bleeding that were immediately controlled with FloSeal hemostatic matrix.Conclusion: FloSeal should be considered for treatment of retropubic bleeding not controlled with conventional methods such as application of direct pressure.Key Words: tension-free vaginal tape (TVT), FloSeal retropubic bleeding
