Look-alike price gains limited

Over-the-counter coal markets tempered gains on Thursday, with mixed trading across product types. NYMEX look-alike continued to press higher, while Eastern and Western rail prices were flat to unchanged in limited trading. Q1 2011 look-alike continued to attract market attention, trading as high as 72.75 dollars/st, 25 cents above Wednesday's Platts assessment. 2011 look-alike term spreads continued to come in, with Q1 over Q2 trading once at a zero premium, before unwinding and backing out.
