October coal loadings mixed, met shipments up at Ridley Terminals

Metallurgical coal exports from Ridley Terminals were up more than 200% in October on a year-over-year basis and continue to be strong year-to-date, according to monthly figures released earlier this week by the Prince Rupert Port Authority. The terminal in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, exported 627,340 metric tons of met coal in October, down 18.7% from September but up 208.3% from October 2012.
