Professor Valentino J. Stella: Scientist, mentor, entrepreneur, family man, and giant in pharmaceutical chemistry

This issue of the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences is dedicated to Professor Valentino J. Stella and to the science that he has loved and fostered throughout his professional career. Professor Stella, known as Val to his friends, former students, and colleagues, is a distinguished professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Kansas (KU). It is our great privilege and honor to write this commentary acknowledging his vast and diverse innovations, accomplishments, and achievements.
