Senators reintroduce bill to block OSM stream rule

Republican senators reintroduced legislation Thursday to block the Office of Surface Mining's new Stream Protection Rule citing industry concerns that the rule could limit coal mining production and result in job losses. OSM, under the Department of the Interior, has been working on a new Stream Protection Rule to replace the 2008 Stream Buffer Zone Rule since 2009.
