US emissions market ends year on a silent note

In the final full week of 2013, the US emissions market ended the year without any trades being reported Friday. Absent of any change in the bid and offers, Platts assessed SO2 2013 allowances at 67 cents/allowance and SO2 2014 allowance at 58 cents/allowance, both unchanged from the previous week.
