Lily Group plans first mine in Indiana

Lily Group plans to begin constructing the new Landree underground coal mine in early 2011 in Greene County, Indiana, after recently receiving a permit from the state Department of Natural Resources' Division of Reclamation. Lily President Rick Risinger said Tuesday that the Terre Haute, Indiana-based company still has “a couple of other issues” to resolve before Landree is under construction, although he declined to elaborate. “We'll have this thing up and moving and under full speed of construction after the first of the year.”
