Bingaman to offer flexible clean energy standard

Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Jeff Bingaman says he soon will introduce legislation to reduce emissions from the power sector with a “clean energy standard” in keeping with President Barack Obama's goal of having 80% of the nation's electricity generated from low-emission sources by 2035.
