Prairie State project more than 80% complete

The 1,600-MW Prairie State Energy Campus coal-fired power project in southwestern Illinois is more than 80% completed and on track for a December startup of its first 800-MW generating unit. Construction reached the 81% mark at the end of June, according to a new regulatory filing.
