Obama vows flexibility on 1B dollars regs

President Barack Obama told House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday that his administration will take economic concerns into consideration before finalizing any regulations - including energy-related measures - that are estimated to cost more than 1 billion dollars apiece. Boehner, an Ohio Republican, asked Obama earlier this month for a list of all of the administration’s planned 1 billion dollars regulations, saying they could further harm the already struggling economy. In a letter Tuesday, Obama listed a total of seven 1 billion dollars regulations, four of which are energyrelated rules being promulgated by the Environmental Protection Agency.
