As golf grows in popularity, its related injuries have increased.1 Vertebral artery dissection is the most common mechanism of brainstem or cerebellar ischaemic stroke related to golf.1 2 Several studies have concluded that the underlying cause of the aforementioned entity is due to repetitive compression of the hyoid bone which can result in pseudoaneurysms and carotid artery stenosis. The following is a case report of recurrent cerebral infarctions in an amateur golfer that can be explained by repeated internal carotid artery (ICA) compression of the hyoid bone.
