Natural Resource Partners breaks through $300-million revenue level

Master limited partnership Natural Resource Partners reported Thursday record 2010 revenues of $301.4 million, an increase of $45.3 million, or 18% over 2009. The company gained royalties from total coal production by its lessees of 47.1 million short tons in 2010, compared with 46.9 million st in 2009. Central and Northern Appalachian production provided the bulk of the total, at 34.8 million st for 2010 compared with 36.2 million st for 2009. Illinois Basin and Northern Powder River Basin production made up the balance.
