NOx, SO2 prices hold steady in volatile week

In a week where there was much volatility in the financial markets, the sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions market seemed to take little notice, with allowance prices going unchanged. Platts assessed the final price of SO2 2011 and SO2 2012 at 2dollars/st on Friday, unchanged from the July 29 price. The final allowance price for SO2 2012 and for SO2 2013 allowance also held steady at 2dollars/st. Over in the NOx market, Platts assessed the NOx Bank allowance at 11dollars/st, unchanged from the previous week. With no trading being reported from market sources Platts also assessed the NOx 2011 allowance at 11dollars/st.
