China's coal demand growth to decline in second-half 2010: Shenhua

China Shenhua Energy expects second- half 2010 coal demand growth to decline in China, compared with that seen in the first six months. The Shenhua Group subsidiary, which primarily mines, markets and transports coal along with operating coal-fired utilities in the People's Republic of China, sees a balanced domestic supply and demand market for thermal coal in the second half of 2010, with the spot price fluctuating “depending on peak and weak seasons.”
