Re: ECG-gated quiescent-interval single-shot MR angiography of the lower extremities: Initial experience at 3 T

Sir - We read with great interest the recent study of Knobloch et al. revealing the feasibility of unenhanced electrocardiography-gated quiescent-interval single-shot magnetic resonance angiography (QISS-MRA) of the lower extremities at 3 T. The authors compared the diagnostic performance of QISS-MRA with contrast-enhanced MRA, and revealed that QISS-MRA of the lower extremities was feasible at 3 T and provided high-quality image, especially in the distal vessel segments. In our opinion, some points about the study are not sufficiently clear.
