Progress is being made with the merger of bioplastics firm Cardia and Stellar Films, officially announced in November 2014. The companies are now making investments to scale up production of bioplastic products in Malaysia and China. On the other hand, the companies have discontinued Cardia’s Brazilian manufacturing facility, launched in August 2014.
