The composite coherence vortices in the superposition of two noncollinear partially coherent flat-topped vortex beams and their propagation through atmospheric turbulence are studied, where two superposition schemes, namely the superposition of the cross-spectral density and intensity, are taken into consideration. The influence of turbulence, superposition scheme, propagation distance and topological charge of the superimposed vortex beams on the evolution behavior of the resulting beam and composite coherence vortices is analyzed and illustrated by numerical examples.
