Intravitreal Anti-VEGF treatment as adjunctive treatment in the management of diabetic retinopathy

Dear Editor: WE commend Dr. Yang and coauthors for investigating innovative treatments for the management of advanced diabetic retinopathy and their safety.Several reports have previously highlighted that intravitreal administration of bevacizumab can induce regression of retinal neovascularization and suggested it as presurgical treatment with a view to reduce intraoperative bleeding during vitrec-tomy in proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
