摘要

An optical interference-polarization method is used to study how the structural organization of dentin tubules affects the structure and shape of the crown of the tooth. It is shown that the dentin tubules in local sections of the dentin form into bundles with radial symmetry of the distribution of the tubules in the bundle. The bundles are organized in the direction of the axes that connect the horns of the pulp and the centers of the projections of the crown of the booth. These zones display distinctive optical effects similar to conoscopic figures, and this is evidence of the quasi-crystalline structure of these zones, formed from anisotropic optically uniaxial tubules. The proposed optical method can be used to classify the types of organization of the tubules in the dentin and for corresponding anthropological studies.
