The packaging industry continues to face rising costs, particularly on raw materials. Faced by these challenging conditions, packaging firms in turn are increasing the price of their products. A number of packaging materials and product suppliers have announced price increases in 2012, citing rising costs. Chemicals firm BASF, for instance, announced that some of its resins and powders would increase in price as a result of the ‘significant rise in the case of raw materials.
