Bioplastics expansion in Asia continues

NatureWorks, one of the biggest firms in the bioplastics industry, is the latest to announce progress in the Asia Pacific market. The company has invested in its first commercial headquar ters in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as announcing a number of additions to its personnel for the region. NatureWorks CEO Marc Verbruggen said in an official statement: ‘In many parts of Asia, most notably China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan, as in Nor th America and Europe, Ingeo is already helping brand owners lower the carbon footprint of their plastic and fibre products, while giving these same companies significantly improved material price stability.’
