The sheer number of studies into feedstocks for bioplastics highlights the variety of approaches available to developers. european R&D funding (under the seventh Framework programme (Fp7)), for instance, has been given to innovative projects exploring many different feedstocks, from cheese to meat byproducts. that Fp7 is finding so many diverse projects suitably innovative to warrant funding is testament to the broadness of this subject.
