Eco-friendly management practices were evaluated against post-harvest fungal pathogens causing crown rot (Fusarium moniliforme) and anthracnose (Colletotrichum musae) diseases of banana. F. moniliforme and C. musae were almost totally inhibited (91-93%) by treatment with Candida sp. in combination with neem leaf extract at 15% after 5 d. Fruits treated with the antagonistic yeast (Candida sp.) in combination with neem leaf extract at 15% and wax coating at 12% resulted in significant reductions in the incidence of crown rot and anthracnose diseases, maintained quality and increased the shelf life when stored at ambient temperature for 15 days.
