Thirty-seven isolates of R. solani [Thanatephorus cucumeris] (AG-1 IA population) obtained from infected leaves of rice cultivars grown at several districts (Ambala, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Jind, Panipat, Sonepat, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Panchkula and Yamunanagar) in Haryana, India, were evaluated for sensitivity to various concentrations of carbendazim (0.05, 0.5, and 1.5 ppm) and hexaconazole (0.01, 0.1 and 1.0 ppm). Growth and sclerotial formation significantly varied among the isolates. On average, RS 35 was the most sensitive to carbendazim, whereas RS 16 and RS 30 were the most resistant. RS 11 was the most sensitive to hexaconazole, whereas RS 17, RS 36, RS 30, RS 16, RS 35 and RS 3 were the least sensitive.
