Results of the live survey in Las Vegas, 2008, and the response of the AAGL.

At the annual conference of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) in Las Vegas 2008, a special live survey was given to those present the morning before the General Session on opening day. All present were given hand-held devices that were used to give immediate answers and provide real-time feedback to questions posed by Patrick Yeung, Jr. MD, of Duke University Medical Center, and Resad Paya Pasic, MD, PhD, of the University of Louisville. We would like to take an opportunity to share with you some of the results of the survey and to relate them to ongoing efforts of the AAGL and the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology (JMIG).
