Comprehensive evaluation method by radar chart for improving drilling rate in the Jiaoshiba region

摘要

In order to accurately learn whether the air drilling and water +PDC bit drilling could improve drilling rate and efficiency to conventional mud drilling in the vertical well section of the first open in the Fulin Jiaoshiba region, the paper studied plenty of field statistics data and presented a comprehensive evaluation method by radar chart to compare new technology drilling and conventional mud drilling, five compared technique data is the footage(length), the drilling period(days), the bits cost, the average rate ofpenetration(AVROP), the unit cost (cost of per meter) . We made use of radar chart to take qualitative and quantitative evaluation by means of extracting feature vectors and circumference of radar chart and structuring evaluating vectors function. Our results indicate that radar chart is more simple, intuitive, and convenient to qualitative comparing, at the same time we show that weakness of radar chart in the quantitative analyses. This method can provide a reference for the drilling engineer to improve drilling shale gas development efficiency.
