The Indian Institute of Metals, Delhi Chapter in association with the Non-Ferrous Division of the Indian Institute of Metals organized a national seminar on 'Non-ferrous metals - strategies for competitiveness and globalization between 22-23 September, 2005 at New Delhi. The seminar was supported by Vedanta, MMTC, NALCO, Aluminium Association of India, ILZDA, ICDC, Nickel Institute, SMS Demag, Binani Zinc, MMR, Metal World & Engineering Council of India. Mr. A.K.D. Jadhav, Mines Secretary, Government of India inaugurated the event attended by 189 participants from India and abroad. In all seventeen technical presentations on various facets of base metals were made at the seminar.
