摘要

Mineralogical studies of Jammu coal of Kalakot coalfield (viz-Dali mine) and its low temperature ash (LTA) have been carried out for characterization of minerals, using scanning electron microscopy technique. The scanning electron microscopy technique established the presence of quartz, clay, pyrite framboids, kaolinite, and iron-oxide crystals in a matrix of other minerals in the L. T. ash of Dali mine coal. The mineralogy has been discussed in the light of the geological factors. The utilization potentials of Jammu coal of Kalakot coalfield (viz-Dali mine) on the basis of its mineralogy is examined.
