A greener and faster way to make acrylic acid polymers

Polymers of acrylic acid are normally made I in organic solvents,such as benzene or toluene.But because the polymerization times are long(20-30 hours)to produce polymers even with relatively low(500,000)molecular weights,researchers have been looking for alternative polymerization routes.Also,because such polymers are used as additives for cosmetics,less-toxic solvents are in demand.
