摘要

Tracer gas technique is advantageous over the conventional system where either air velocity is much less or cross section is too rough to be measured error free. The paper presents the first successful attempt to standardise and develop the technique in India. The technique was verified by field trial at Chinakuri colliery of ECL by measuring airflow rate of a mine gallery by both the above methods which shows excellent correlation.
