摘要

I An industry spokesman for the roof safety industry has called for more stringent safety practices when working at height following recent (and fatal) accidents. Barry Stokes, Managing Director and founder of Deck Guardrail Australia, said industry perceptions in relation to working at height, especially roofing, must change or further accidents will happen. "The unfortunate death of a young worker in Sydney last year, and a number of other near fatal falls, shows that authorities and employers must change their methods of fall restraint," "There are different regulations state-by-state and I believe that now is the time a set of national standards be employed," he said.
