Photoinduced anisotropy and photorefraction in Pr-doped Ge-Ga-S glasses

摘要

Metastable photoinduced anisotropy and photorefraction are reported in Pr3+-doped Ge-Ga-S glasses which are promising materials for optical fiber amplifiers. Microscopic models for these effects are suggested and their combination with the laser effect in Pr3+ dopants is proposed.
