Role of transgenic plants in abiotic stress management.

摘要

The responses of organisms to environmental stresses that affect development, growth and productivity are discussed, as well as the essential mechanisms involved in salinity tolerance and their degrees of complexity. Problems and solutions in foreign gene expression in higher plants are also discussed. Different approaches to improve the stress tolerance of higher plants are given.
