摘要

The brain of female Paratelphusa hydrodromous has three different types of neurosecretory cells Viz. A,B and C cells and four different types of NSCs (A, B,C and D) in thoracic ganglia. The 'A' type of brain and thoracic ganglia are the smallest NSCs with less neurosecretory material. The 'C' type NSCs of brain and 'D' type NSCs of thoracic ganglion are the largest NSCs abd are with more NSMc. So they are called as 'giant NSCs'. The 5-Hydroxyptmine has increased the secretory activity of NSCs of brain and thoracic ganglion and the staining intensity is more.
