Global demand for titanium minerals is satisfied approximately at 90% on account of supplies of ilmenite, resources of which are estimated as 1 billion tons, (in terms of 100%-content of TiO_2); the explored resources of another important titanium mineral, rutile, total, according to estimation, approximately 230 million tons.
